Unless this is the first time you have read my articles, you should know I love mono-colored decks. Given the chance, I would draft mono-color every time I could. The simple elegance of the mana base gets my magic juices flowing. Not in a gross way.

All you have to worry about is what your opponent is doing. You can just trust that the deck will provide the mana you need when you need it. Obviously, it worked for GodZo.

Let’s look at a sample opening hand:

Well, had to mulligan a one lander. However, I am keeping this hand and am glad to do so. I know it puts a lot of pressure on the Skyjek, but I feel we can give him the support needed to push on through.

Now let’s look at the next six cards:

Is it possible to Eidolon flood? What a weird next 6. Anyway, you have more protection, more mana, and a load of Eidolons. Not bad. Probably not the strongest start ever. I still feel the deck is resilient enough to win with the cards at hand.

Section 3: Podcasting

We are working on making The Standard Pauper Show into a podcast. The goal is to put it on iTunes and watch the sweet, sweet revenue pour in.

This just in, you get no revenue for publishing a podcast on iTunes. Well, that is about par for the course these days.
