So, Treasure Cruise is a good card? Who would have thought it?
Lets take a look at the winner:
I don’t know how many Whisk Away you ran, so I had to speculate… but I am not a fan of 60+ card decks.

Now, lets look at an opening hand:
Wow, mana, removal, blocker with draw smoothing actions and a win con?? Who wouldn’t keep?
Now here is a weird kind of curve/plateau:
Now let’s look at the next six cards:
Well, you get ever so close to that rise of eagles mana. I like this a lot. Your opening hand is strong and your draws are really nice.
Section 3: Pauper Comparison
You see here an evolution of sorts. The classic giant spider has been ruling the green skyways since alpha. Aerie Bowmasters is straight up better. But lets look at some of the iterations in between.
The cloudcrown card is a better card. Three power kills a lot more thing and the same CMC makes this a winner. The extra green mana is a downside, but if you are already considering the bowmasters, you have accepted this downside.
I think the penumbra spider gives you a harder choice. This is a card that replaces itself with a token copy. It won’t kill a spire golem, but if that golem gets a piracy charm and breaks through, the token is there to pick up the slack.
The bowmasters gives you the choice for three modes:
1. Turn 3 – You get a 2/2
2. Turn 4 – You can have a 3/4 with reach
3. Turn 6 (forgetting about ramp) – you can have a 4/5 with reach.
That last mode lets you kill just about everything in the air at pauper level.
