The Empire vs The Rebel Alliance Fan of History ep 25

After restoring the true king of Babylon to the throne, king Shalmaneser III of the Neo-Assyrian Empire returns to the west to fight it out with what he considers the “rebels” in the west; The League of Kings. The battle of Qarqar was inconclusive, but can the alliance hold together in a five year war against the mighty Assyrian empire?

Israel will not help the league but instead fights with Damascus and deals with rebellious vassals.

The Battle of Qarqar 853 BC – Fan of History podcast ep 23

On one side: The Royal Assyrian Army led by king Shalmaneser III. On the other side: The League of Kings, an alliance of twelve nations against the might of Assyria.
